Phase 1 (6 months):

Students will gain balanced exposure to both civil and criminal law with practical exercises, across the civil and criminal streams, students will learn:

• Drafting and reviewing witness statements across different types of cases
• Developing case strategies by identifying legal grounds, defences, and procedural options
• Drafting key procedural documents, writing legal documents like statements of case, bail applications, summons, and client advice notes
• Deepening understanding of ethical obligations, client confidentiality, and vulnerable witness handling

Phase 2 (6 months):

Structured in rotations, this work experience includes practise in both civil and criminal laws. Students will gain insights into different case management styles, courtroom experiences, and firm operations. Exposure to a wide variety of legal issues will help them clarify their interests and strengths.
